The Gailes Restaurant & Hotel, Irvine was voted Best Wedding Venue in Scotland for 2007 at the prestigious VOWS Awards ceremony, which took place at The Corn Exchange in Edinburgh last Tuesday evening (November 6^th).  

A record 7,519 votes were cast by this year's newlyweds as brides and grooms all over the country voted for their favourite wedding suppliers across the 20 categories.

 “It's a great honour for The Gailes to have picked up such a prestigious award, a tremendeous acknowledgement for the effort, commitment and dedication that our entire team deliver to ensure our couples have a wedding day that exceeds their expectations ” said Malcolm Simpson of SimpsInns, owner of the 40-bedroom Gailes Hotel.

The coveted VOWS Awards are presided over by a panel of wedding industry experts . Last years winner was Drumocherty Castle in Fife.
