Coronavirus Statement

With the current situation surrounding the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, SimpsInns aims to be fully transparent as we continue to work with local health authorities and strictly adhere to advice from the World Health Organisation (WHO). We are actively monitoring updates and will  respond based on the best advice of the Government, UK Chief Medical Officer and Public Health authorities.


The priority for SimpsInns is that all our guests and team members feel safe and secure at our hotels, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities. To ensure this we have implemented the following changes to our already rigorous cleaning procedures:

  • All guests and team members have easy access to health stations with antibacterial hand gel and tissues
  • All public areas/back-of-house areas are regularly and thoroughly cleaned, paying special attention to high-touch areas such as door handles, tables etc.
  • Our guests and team are reminded to regularly and thoroughly wash their hands and avoid touching their hair and face
  • Ongoing training has been put in place to ensure team members are fully prepared to provide information and updates to our guests.


During these exceptional circumstances, we are keen to work with all our guests and customers and have therefore reviewed our standard cancellation policy for accommodation bookings. If your booking at any of our SimpsInns hotels was made directly with the hotel, was a non-cancellation booking or you are not able to travel, we will happily look at moving your booking to another date. If you made a booking through a third party online booking agent (eg, please contact the third party direct to cancel your booking. All guests or booking agents wishing to cancel must advise us no later than 4pm the day before the guests’ scheduled arrival. Failure to do so will result in guest being charged in full for the first night of their stay.


Thank you for your continued understanding and patience while we’re experiencing a large volume of calls and messages and through social media. We appreciate this may be a concerning time, especially if you have a wedding or event with us soon and plans have been impacted by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

So that we can try to reduce our call and message waiting times, we ask that you please don’t contact us unless your event is due to take place within the next 14 days.
