Inspired by the hotel’s coastal location, Coast has some great nautical themes as part of the design – plus the fantastic beach hut table!

Food is served all day from hearty cooked breakfast to evening meals and everything in between. It’s also the perfect place to drop in for some coffee and cake or a glass of wine with friends. Light lunches (Monday to Thursday) and Afternoon tea are served from 12pm until 5pm daily with our full a la carte menu available from 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 12pm Friday to Sunday. Our festive menu is available 7 days a week throughout December from 12pm.

Coast Menus

Our new menu at Coast Restaurant & Bar at The Gailes has been crafted with care and creativity by our Group Executive Chef Ewan McAllister.

Enjoy quality Scottish meats and seafood, chargrill steaks, gourmet burgers, vibrant vegetarian and vegan options and delicious desserts, all designed to suit relaxed lunches, special dinners and everything in between.

Join us every evening to enjoy our new menu, with a full lunch menu available from Friday to Sunday. From Monday to Thursday, our midweek lunch menu offers a tempting choice of freshly made sandwiches and wraps, perfectly paired with soup of the day or our classic Cullen Skink. Afternoon Tea is served daily from 12pm to 5pm.

GG’s Coffee Shop & Sports Lounge is a destination for all the family and offers tasty menu choices all day. With great coffee and cake and relaxed seating, it’s a great place to catch up with friends. Food served daily from 9am until 5pm, with the bar open until 10pm serving alcoholic beverages, soft drinks plus teas and coffee.

Tables at GG’s on our terrace and inside operate on a first come, first serve basis.

All well behaved dogs are welcome at GG’s on the outside terrace or indoors at the Sports Lounge area. Dogs must be kept on a lead and four paws on the floor at all times as we respect all our guests at the premises.

    Fantastic experiences so relaxing lovely room with lots of space spa and gorgeous food would definitely be back and recommend to friends family we are definitely going to book again we when down to the beach which is 5 mins away that we really enjoy watching the sunset

    Great day and great company. The afternoon tea was excellent there was a good variety and enough for all. The staff were very welcoming, I would really recommend this package, it was only £55

    Staff were all so welcoming and helpful, we stayed in the Arran Suite which was so spacious with lovely views. Had an excellent time in the spa thermal suite and treatment from Helen who was so kind and made it such a relaxing experience. The 2 course meal and breakfast were also great quality. Would definitely recommend!

Positioning of the location is second to none considering I came here to play golf you are literally on the door step to many courses so no wasting time travelling & added bonus its got its own driving range. The food & drink is all reasonably priced & the decor is lovely & beautiful gardens & water features.

    We received a nice welcome entering the spa. It is evident that the team have been very well trained and are very helpful and friendly. Alyson, our therapist is 1st class and shows real concern and empathy. I always come out feeling a 100% improvement.

    Si Spa is one of thee best spa days I have had, so good in fact I have been a number of times without trying anywhere else. The staff are amazing, friendly and attentive at all times. The facilities are never anything but perfect. The treatment rooms and treatments themselves…woooaww! And the afternoon tea or spa lunches that I have had afterwards are always fantastic! If you’re looking for total relaxation in top notch facilities then this is you’re place. Considering the service, facilities and treatments, the prices are quite reasonable in my opinion!

    We had a great experience at the Gailles hotel. Myself and partner got a package which included the spa, overnight, dinner and breakfast. The staff were all extremely friendly and we would come back again.

    This is a beautiful hotel, spa and golf course situated in Irvine, Ayrshire. We travelled there for a Spa day we had received as a gift and it was an excellent day all round. Access to the spa area with a 50 minute treatment plus we also had dinner at the attached restaurant. The resort itself on the day was busy but the staff’s professionalism and welcoming made it a lovely day. I’d highly recommend booking this venue for any type of occasion as it delivered a brilliant experience and would definitely return again.
