The Gailes is a long-established, four-star resort hotel in the heart of Ayrshire and is surrounded by some of Ayrshire's finest championship golf courses. Dundonald Links, venue of the 2017 Scottish Open on the European Tour is literally across the road from the hotel and one of the most popular courses with our returning visiors.
Gailes Links (formerly Glasgow Gailes) is one of Ayrshire's true gems and remains one of the Open Championship Final Qualifying venues and is next door to The Gailes Hotel. Less than one mile away visitors will come across Western Gailes, another links gem on on a narrow strip of links along the Ayrshire coast.
Open Championship venues such as Royal Troon is less than 10 minutes away, Prestwick Golf Club, birthplace of the Open is 20 minutes by car, while Turnberry is a 40 minute drive.
There are many other quality courses in the area, including Irvine (Bogside) Golf Club and Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club, not to mention the many public courses such as Darley, Lochgreen and Fullarton in Troon or Belleisle in Ayr.
There is a reason why The Gailes is so popular with golfers for we also have a range of top class golfing facilities right here at the hotel, including the nine-hole course, floodlit driving range, resident PGA professionals (available to book lessons) and retailer American Golf.
